Typography Projects
A 16-page typographic exploration of memory, music, and repetition.
This project was a deeply personal editorial experiment, reflecting on the songs I’ve looped obsessively throughout my life and the emotional weight they carry. The theme of “looping” shaped both the visual rhythm and structural pacing of the booklet.
Each spread uses expressive type to mirror the mood and message of the music, with vibrant color choices and layout play reflecting tone and memory. Designed entirely in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, this project balances emotional storytelling with bold typographic form.

Custom Typeface — “Smocco”
This project documents the development of a bespoke typeface inspired by the Brooklyn drill microgenre and the “Sturdy” dance style. Every letter in Smocco embodies suppression and rhythm, constructed from a grid derived from the dancer’s leg forms during specific moves. The outcome is a bold, culturally-rooted type specimen and placard design that reinterprets protest visuals through typographic form.
